Lesson 4 SIRS Discovers
I have never used this resource before.  It is a nice resource to get articles, newspapers, magazine articles, graphics, and web finder.  However, this sight shows a lot of text and not very inviting for a struggling reader or set up to inviter the user to explore more.  It is a good tool for research.  I thought the World Book was more inviting for children to explore more.  I did like the feature of reading levels assigned to each resource.

Brazil is the country I researched. Resources is where I found the country facts. I'm not so sure anyone could figure out this is where you get basic facts.  Next, I opened a magazine article.  It was about the 2016 Olympics that will be in Rio.  It has a read along feature which is very nice and you could even download the article on to a mp3.  SIRS has a wealth of information and many nice features it just seems a little overwehelming seeing so much to pick from all at once.  It is great for research and getting it done!
